The Most Complete Broadband Mapping Solution
MapConnect™ Broadband provides the most complete broadband mapping solution available today, helping our U.S. State and Territory customers to set the right goals, deliver critical information and required formats on time and on budget. Critical elements such as a dynamic database infrastructure and interoperability with State and federal systems, as well as data transparency and granularity, give our customers the information needed to meet program requirements. BroadMap’s extensive experience with mapping, program management, government compliance and broadband service provider outreach make MapConnect™ Broadband a smart choice for U.S. States and Territories looking to enhance their broadband mapping today and into the future.
- Our Dynamic Structure: MapConnect™ Broadband’s database structure and processes are built with the understanding that both data sources and the demands of our users are dynamic and need to be managed and presented in a dynamic way. The real world changes constantly and we are engineered to work within that reality. Our team brings nearly 300 years of geospatial expertise to broadband mapping projects and works to deliver structure and processes that evolve with the needs of our clients.
- Interoperability: With numerous States launching new and updated Broadband Mapping Initiatives, BroadMap understands the need for interoperability between States and Territories and the ongoing federal mapping efforts in order to create the most benefit for your constituents. Our MapConnect™ Broadband solution is designed to provide communications and compliance with the various levels of government and their broadband mapping efforts as they become available.
- Transparency: BroadMap understands the importance of data and data sourcing transparency. By building source attribution and reliability indices into our MapConnect™ Broadband database, we proactively monitor the completeness and accuracy of our data and provide supporting documentation and ongoing reporting to our customers’ project managers.
- Granularity: BroadMap understands the levels of granularity of data that are likely to exist around a particular address or geographical reference. We have engineered our systems to understand conflation, interpolation and extrapolation from the ground up, including address points, streets, ZIP Codes™, cities and beyond in myriad directions. Our MapConnect™ Broadband database architecture is a direct result of these considerations and has been engineered to allow the technology to grow as our partners’ requirements evolve.
Program Management for MapConnect™ Broadband
Program management is integral to the success of our MapConnect™ Broadband partners and customers. Senior support staff from BroadMap’s Program Management Center of Excellence work with our clients to set expectations, create a program charter and manage deliverables and reporting along the way. Interactive weekly web meetings provide program status “dashboard” updates and allow teams in remote locations to work together to provide input. “Report cards” are delivered regularly to show project status and evaluate progress. Our Program Management team works to be certain that the promises of quality, value and cost effectiveness are met for all customers.
Data Collection and Formats
BroadMap aggregates critical data from local and national sources, then conducts independent verification processes to create and provide the most complete, accurate and up-to-date maps available. MapConnect™ Broadband delivers detailed street maps, digital elevation model data (DEM), postal codes and address information. Key Community Anchor Institutions such as schools, emergency responders, fire departments, health care providers, law enforcement and local governmental buildings are mapped and broadband data is collected. Telecommunications fiber and wireless network data and associated attributes are gathered, including cell towers and satellite and aerial imagery of assets.
BroadMap is experienced in communicating efficiently and effectively with broadband service providers to obtain availability, coverage and associated serviceability attributes, such as provider names, coverage areas, speeds and Middle Mile hand-off points, all of which are delivered in the formats required by State and federal programs.
