GIS Engineer New Job

This position is responsible for developing GIS tools and processes to conflate, manipulate and improve geographic data in support of BroadMap’s products and services.  The GIS Engineer shall be responsible for the development and documentation of specialized GIS tools for use at BroadMap.  These tools will be used primarily for automating ingestion of source data and optimizing automated and manual editing of BroadMap’s core database.  Source data of numerous origins, formats, and models will need to be normalized and managed.  The GIS Tools Engineer will ensure that all tools are well-documented and communicated to all intended users


GIS Analyst
New Job

This position is responsible for supporting BroadMap’s database, products and services. This includes editing the core database, resolving customer issues on the phone, conducting research, procurement and evaluation of national, State, regional and local spatial data from the public, government and commercial sectors to support BroadMap’s product development initiatives. The GIS Analyst is responsible for using and procuring source data to update and correct BroadMap databases, as well as developing and maintaining BroadMap’s spatial data repository and resource library with accurate accounting of potential and existing source providers, contact information and contact history. Edits may be prompted by updated data inputs, QA results or any other specific requests. The GIS Analyst is in direct contact with source providers and customers, supporting BroadMap’s products and services.


Quality Specialist

This position is responsible for applying quality assurance techniques to ensure that BroadMap’s products and services meet or exceed quality requirements. The Quality Specialist is responsible for the development, documentation and implementation of quality procedures and testing plans as they relate to GIS data procurement, software development and commercial release of GIS data products and software applications, including web-based products, services and infrastructure. The Quality Specialist also ensures that quality requirements are clearly articulated and agreed upon by all relevant parties.
